Главный герой Кубат Алиев выдающийся писатель на пенсии, вдовец, живет один в своей квартире. Однажды он узнает, что его друг – писатель Сапар тяжело болен. Кубат продает свою квартиру чтобы оплатить его лечение, но вскоре его младшего брата избивают коллекторы за его долги.
